Let Me In is a bone-chilling American remake of a popular 2008 Swedish thriller about a 12-year-old female vampire.

Director Matt Reeves has re-shaped the original into his own, and the result is a moody, violent, fright-fest that works almost all of the time.

Richard Jenkins is appropriately odd as the grown-up guardian, but the real power of this fine film comes from the two young stars - Chloe Moretz and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Fans of the foreign language original should be pleased and newcomers will be fully creeped-out by this lonely, terrifying film.
