Iron Man 2 works both as a sequel and as a high-adrenalin action film with another smart, quirky performance by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, the arrogant, ADD billionaire in the cool red rocket suit.
This time around, Mickey Rourke adds his ownodd dimension as the Russian bad guy with electrical whips, who shows up at Monte Carlo looking for a fight.
I loved the first hour of Iron Man 2 with its confident, witty dialog and sure-handed direction by Jon Favreau, who also plays an important part in his own film.
Gwyneth Paltrow is back, and look for Scarlett Johansson to steal most of her scenes -she's terrific.
Iron Man 2 is rated a mild PG-13. It tends to drop off and start to fall apart near the end, but if the original was an A, then the sequel deserves a B +.
