Drag Me To Hell is a surprisingly good film, intentionally scary and intentionally funny.
Sam Raimi, the Spiderman director, used to make extreme horror films and he's back with a PG-13-rated fright-fest that features all the bells and whistles: gypsies that cast spells, shadows flying around the room, and things that go bump in the night.
What you don't get from the trailer is the film's wicked sense of humor. I was slightly frightened one minute but mostly laughing the next: this really is a comedy.
I had a great time watching, Drag Me To Hell, because it's a horror film without all the gore, and plays out like a clever Halloween amusement park thrill ride.
