Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has had his share of off-the-field troubles, but a new investigation could keep him off the field.

ESPN reports the NCAA is investigating whether Manziel was paid a five-figure fee at least $10,000 to sign hundreds of autographs.

The report says Manziel did this while he was in Miami for the National Championship game in January.

ESPN could not get any comment from the NCAA, from Texas A&M or from the Manziel family.

If the NCAA decides after investigating that Manziel did accept money, he could be ruled ineligible to play for the Aggies.

Joe Shad from ESPN reported that Manziel is scheduled to meet with the media on Monday.
