Carrollton police are reaching out to the public to help identify a hit-and-run driver that killed a 42-year-old man from Nicaragua.

Sometime between Sunday and Monday, Roberto Domingo Arancibia was hit by a car in the northbound service road of the 1800 block of northbound Interstate 35E. He died there, said spokesman Jon Stovall.

The suspect, driving a silver or gray 2006 Honda Civic, fled the scene. Stovall asks that residents and body shop employees be on the lookout for a car matching that description with damage to its front right side.

Aranciba, who had the name "Sarae" tattooed on his upper back, may have been known as a different name police have had no luck finding any of his friends or relatives. Meanwhile, the suspect is still at large.

Anyone with information that could help police find this person or locate any of Aranciba's friends or family is asked to call Det. B. Turner at 972.466.3307.
