DALLAS North Texas parents may not be thrilled with the reason why their kids couldn't get back to UT Austin on Sunday night.
Dozens of students waited at Mockingbird Station for the Texas Express, a non-stop weekend charter service backed by the university.
On Monday, the school explained to News 8 that a computer upgrade resulted in incomplete passenger lists for drivers. As a result, there was 'an inadequate number of dispatches buses' not only in Dallas, but also in Houston.
UT said this should never have happened, and is offering full refunds.
Some parents complained that they had to find alternate and more expensive ways for their students to return to campus in time for Monday morning classes.
The university said it is taking 'proper measures to ensure this does not happen in the future.'
