A massive snowstorm in the Texas panhandle is impacting North Texans.

Nearly 20 inches of snow has fallen on areas around Amarillo, shutting down schools, highways, and delaying travel plans.

The Texas National Guard mobilized to rescue stranded drivers, and nearly 100 of those drivers stayed in shelters overnight.

North Texans just passing through, like Randy Ruyle and his girlfriend, have suddenly found themselves stranded. We talked to the Wylie couple, who were on their way to go skiing in Colorado, live via phone Tuesday morning.
