Amy Kushnir of My Texas Today showed us how to make one of her grandmother's favorite recipes on the January 14 edition of News 8 Daybreak Saturday.
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion - chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper - chopped
- 1/2 cup rice
- 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- Brown meat, onion and bell pepper in skillet.
- Add rice, tomato sauce and water; stir well.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
