If you're anxious to get a Christmas tree out of the house, you now have some options.

Dallas residents can bring a tree to several drop-off locations, including:

  • Flag Pole Hill Park, 8100 Doran Circle
  • Fair Oaks Transfer Station, 7677 Fair Oaks Avenue
  • Bachman Transfer Station, 9500 Harry Hines Boulevard
  • Southwest Transfer Station, 4610 South Westmoreland Road

Fort Worth will collect Christmas trees as part of the city's regular brush collection; trees taller than 8 feet should be trimmed into shorter sections.

In Arlington, trees will be accepted at Calloway's Nursery and the city landfill, free of charge.

In Grand Prairie, trees can be deposited at the curb for pickup with regular trash. These locations will also accept trees:

  • Home Depot parking lot, 3850 Carrier Parkway
  • Home Depot parking lot 5280 SH 360
  • Grand Prairie Landfill, 1102 MacArthur Boulevard

Irving residents can leave trees at the curb as part of the scheduled weekly brush and bulk waste pickup from December 27 through January 7. Trees can also be deposited at these Irving locations through January 9:

  • Cottonwood Park, 4051 N. Story Road
  • Southwest Park, 2800 Shady Grove Road
  • Drop-Off Recycling Center, 8555 Home Depot Drive (east corner of The Home Depot parking lot)
  • Irving Landfill, 220 W. Hunter Ferrell Road (7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. daily, except New Year s Day)

In Plano, residents can leave their tree at the curb for recycling starting January 3. Apartment residents can bring trees to these locations through January 9:

  • Heritage Yards Ball Fields, 4525 Hedgcoxe Road
  • High Point Park, 6500 Alma Drive
  • Preston Meadow Park, 4243 Lorimar Drive

Be sure to remove lights, ornaments, and tree stands, and don't place trees in plastic bags.
