Three women witnessed an estranged husband stab his 47-year-old wife to death in her Fort Worth real estate office last week, according to an arrest warrant.

On Dec. 30, Suzanne Parsons, 47, was found killed at a RE/MAX office in the 4200 block of Heritage Trace Parkway near the Alliance Town Center. She was stabbed to death. John St. Angelo, 49, of Haslet, was arrested the next day following a nearly five-hour standoff. He's charged with murder.

The arrest warrant says three women heard 'blood curdling screams' coming from her office, which was locked. One of the women had a key. When they got the door open, the warrant says they witnessed St. Angelo standing over Parsons and stabbing her with a large knife.

One of the witnesses hurled a desk chair at the man and fled, the document says. A fourth witness told investigators one of the women approached him and said she saw St. Angelo attacking Parsons. The fourth witness noticed an open window after he went to inspect the warrant says investigators believe this is how St. Angelo fled.

St. Angelo had a history of domestic violence. Parsons filed for divorce last May after her then-husband punched her repeatedly in the face and threatened to stab her with an ice pick during a vacation in Mexico. She also secured a protective order against him.

A fifth witness told police that St. Angelo frequently called Parsons that week and that she was scared of him. The witness said St. Angelo told her Parsons 'would be dead if I wanted her to be dead.'

The warrant says all four identified St. Angelo as the attacker in a photo lineup.

He was wounded during a standoff with SWAT officers at a north Fort Worth home on Dec. 31. Police had to blow the door of the home's garage and use a robot to remove St. Angelo. He voluntarily surrendered about five hours after it began.

St. Angelo is recovering at a Fort Worth hospital, after which he will be processed and jailed.
