Blog: Cowboys beat Packers in convincing fashion

4th quarter

Cole Beasley caught his second touchdown of the game and the Cowboys held the ball for roughly 10 minutes in the final frame. The Packers finally found the endzone with a Randall Cobb touchdown connection with just under seven minutes to go.

The touchdown brought Green Bay within 11 points, but Dallas responded with a field goal to keep the game out of reach.

Zeke Elliott joined Dak Prescott in the history books, becoming the first rookie back ever to log 130 or more rushing yards in four consecutive games.

3rd quarter

Aaron Rodgers turned the ball over twice in the third quarter -- once on a Barry Church interception and once on a fumble.

Dak Prescott's interception-less passes streak came to an end at 177 attempts, as safety Morgan Burnett picked off a third-down pass intended for tight end Jason Witten.

Each team logged a field goal in the third quarter.

2nd quarter

A 97-yard drive took Dallas only 34 seconds in the final minute of the half. A 26-yard run by Lucky Whitehead, a 42-yard pass to Terrance Williams and a 20-yard touchdown catch by Brice Butler put the Cowboys up by nine going into the half.

The two teams traded field goals earlier in the quarter. Green Bay took advantage of a facemask penalty on what would've been a sack on third-and-long, and moved into field goal range for Mason Crosby's second successful kick of the game to make it 7-6.

Dak Prescott's second fumble of the afternoon didn't hurt the Cowboys, as Dallas responded with a Dan Bailey 50-yard field goal put them up 10-6.

1st quarter

The Cowboys marched 75 yards for a touchdown on the game's opening drive. Dak Prescott also marched into the NFL record books in the first quarter, recording his 163rd pass attempt without an interception -- the longest streak to start a career.

Dallas benefited from a Jordy Nelson fumble, but gave the ball back when Prescott was hit from behind and coughed the ball up to Packers linebacker Joe Thomas. That play was ruled a fumble, keeping his streak of passes without an interception alive.
