Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo says it's all about the fans.
"That's ultimately what you want for people that sometimes would have a tough opportunity to meet a lot of these Cowboys players," he said.
That's why Romo and others like teammate Jason Witten are part of a new business called Fanwish. It's an app that lets people either buy a chance or enter a raffle to win an opportunity to make their own fan wish come true.
Witten is Lupe Armijo's favorite player. She entered the raffle and ended up at Tuesday's launch party. Armijo gushed as Witten took a picture with her.
"Oh my gosh, he's my favorite!" she said.
Eddie Rico entered via Facebook by posting a picture of his son, who is a football player. The picture, taken at AT&T Stadium, got a hundred likes and he and his son had the night of their life.
"Born and raised in Dallas... been with them through thick and thin," Rico said. "[My son] will tell you I am one of the biggest Romo supporters and advocates. For me to meet him is a big honor."
Romo and Witten both say as kids they would have loved this kind of opportunity. Witten even said he still has some fan wishes of his own.
"I think it would start with Michael Jordan... that would be a good fan wish to start with," he said.
While Fanwish is a business, Romo and Witten say this is what it's all about: putting a smile on people's faces.
