Jimmie Johnson, whose Lowe's/Kobalt Tools Chevrolet was the fastest car during Saturday's practice, needs an average 10th-place finish over the final three races to guarantee a title. He starts the Dickies 500 today (2:15 p.m., Ch. 8) from the 12th spot.
