Kenyan runner wins White Rock Marathon

Leading a record field of 20,000, Edward Tabut of Kenya  took first place Sunday morning in the 40th running of the Dallas White Rock Marathon.

Tabut, 26, finished the 26-mile course in a time of 2 hours, 16 minutes and 53 seconds.

"I'm very happy," he said after achieving his personal best. "I'm feeling OK."

The other top finishers in the men's division were:

2. 2:20:29 Moses Kororia
3. 2:22:28 Khalid Enguady
4. 2:22:53 Keith Pierce
5. 2:23:53 Logan Sherman

In the women's division, the marathon winners were:

1. 2:48:21 Rose Jebet
2. 2:52:38 Jenifer Graef
3. 3:04:23 Rochelle Cuff
4. 3:08:54 Erica Tedford
5. 3:09:47 Samantha Cole

The race was broadcast live on WFAA-TV.
