Jerry Jones: Prescott to start against Cleveland

Arlington -- The Cowboys looming quarterback controversy can be put to bed for another week at least.  Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says Dak Prescott will get the start next weekend in Cleveland.

"Tony isn't ready to play," Jones said after the Cowboys thrilling 29-23 overtime win over the Eagles.  "This is subject to Jason Garrett making the decision.  But as far as the health issue is concerned of Tony, there is no need to push it that fast."

Dak Prescott has been the surprise of the NFL so far this season, leading the Cowboys to a 6-1 start, reeling off six straight victories.  In the last 21 years, the Cowboys have won 6 or more consecutive games just three times.

"My opinion is Dak will start against Cleveland," said Jones.

It's been two month since Romo suffered a broken bone in his back in the preseason against Seattle.  Romo returned to practice last week doing limited work.
