The Dallas Stars gain momentum with each victory, the latest, a 5-2 win Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks.  The Stars (36-26-5) are now in sole possession of the Pacific Division with 77 points, two points in front of the Phoenix Coyotes and three ahead of the San Jose Sharks.

Mike Ribeiro scored twice and added an assist, Loui Ericksson and Stephane Robidas each had a goal and an assist.  Add a goal by Jamie Benn and that adds up to a 5-2 win over one of the best teams in the league.

"We just stuck with our game plan and kept pushing forward," Ribeiro told www.Dallasstars.com.  He said, "it's a team concept right now, and everyone's doing the right thing."

Dallas won for the seventh time in eight games to end a five-game losing streak at Vancouver.

Notes:  The Stars lost Trevor Daley for 14 minutes of the first period after he was helped off the ice following a pileup.  Daley was first busy with Daniel Sedin before Alex Burrows fell on top of him while Bachman was trying to freeze the puck in the crease.  Daley returned in the second period.

Ryder extends his points streak to seven games..

Ericksson has has 11 points in his last seven games...

Ribeiro has points in 10 of his last 11 games (5-10-15).

Dallas and Vancouver meet two more times before March is over.
