UNIVERSITY PARK — It was a high school showdown on the SMU campus Saturday as Dallas Skyline faced Southlake Carroll in the Class 5A Division I state semi-finals.
Watch Skyline's Devante Kincade's 37-yard run with 54 seconds left in the third quarter gave his team a 21-14 lead.
Skyline led by 10, 24-14 in the fourth quarter, when Kenny Hill scored for Carroll on a three-yard scamper with 1:07 left in the game.
The score was now 24-21.
Southlake Carroll went for the onside kick and recovered the ball at midfield; a field goal would send the game to overtime.
Instead, it's Kenny Hill scoring on a 35-yard run with 46 seconds left in the game, giving Carroll a come-from-behind 28-24 victory. The Dragons advance to the state championship, where they will face Fort Bend Hightower.
