OXNARD –– Cowboys quarterbacks will enjoy a so-called "veteran's day off" during Tuesday afternoon's practice.
The workout will focus mostly on goal line and short yardage work, and head coach Jason Garrett feels this is the right time to give his signal caller a break. Garrett says Tony Romo is feeling no ill-effects after his off-season back surgery to remove a cyst.
The head coach also likes the idea of giving players a "veteran day" followed by and off day, which the Cowboys have scheduled tomorrow.
"You give a player a day off it can help rejuvenate themem," says Garrett, "give them two days off and it's life-changing."
Garrett says he's still yet to decide if Romo will play in the Hall of Fame game Sunday against the Dolphins.
