SAYREVILLE, N.J. — You'd think being governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie might be a die-hard Giants or Jets fan.

But not quite. Appearing at a Kid's Town Hall in Sayreville, New Jersey on Tuesday, Christie was asked who he roots for.

"My favorite football team are the Dallas Cowboys," he told the youngsters, who responded with a mixture of cheers and jeers. "Which, by the way, is not the smartest thing for the Governor of New Jersey to want to be."

You heard it right — he confessed he likes the Dallas Cowboys.

Christie said he grew up during the Roger Staubach era, and admitted one of his prized possessions is a football signed by the Hall of Famer.
