Tony Romo was a little late making his way to his post-game press conference and for good reason.

While attempting to make a tackle following a Cowboys 1st quarter fumble, Romo took a knee to the back. Although in obvious discomfort, Romo did manage to finish the game 15 of 27 in the team’s 7-6 win over the Washington Redskins.

Following the game, Romo immediately received medical attention, as media members awaited his arrival. After the 30 minute delay, Romo appeared, obviously walking slowly and  with extreme caution.

Romo said that he received an injection and was hopeful for some relief. When asked about the play that resulted in the injury he said, "When I hit the guy and made that incredible tackle, whatever it was -- I've got to imagine it was his knee -- it just hit me square in the back. I just kind of had to fight through it throughout the day."

And this leads us to the hot topic of the week. Ironically, this would be a short week for the team as they will play their second game in only five days as they face the Oakland Raiders on Thanksgiving day.

“We'll definitely be playing and all that good stuff. But as far as what we're going to do throughout the week, we'll see."
