DALLAS - The Dallas Cowboys are coming off their second-straight win of 20 or more points after dropping three straight by the same margin. The Cowboys head to Oakland to take on the Raiders on Sunday Night Football. This also marks the final game without Ezekiel Elliott. He will return in time for a big matchup with the Seattle Seahawks that will have huge implications for Dallas if the Cowboys can pick up the victory this weekend.
Following two wins against divisional opponents the Cowboys face their final AFC West opponent of the season. These are the five players who need a big game.
Prescott is coming off a career-high 332 yards with three touchdown passes. After failing to surpass 200 yards in a game for the better part of a month, Prescott is looking to build on the performance.
Dak is on pace to be under his rookie year performance in terms of yards and touchdowns but another big game can put him back on track.
Ohio State alum Rod Smith picked up the slack for Elliott and had a huge 4th quarter last week against the Giants. Smith finished with 160 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns on the afternoon in the Meadowlands.
Smith came into the season fourth on the running back depth chart but his role could expand this week against the Raiders. He has proven himself since coming to Dallas and last week's effort has surely earned him more snaps.
The Cowboys leading receiver from a year ago has been anything but in 2017. After registering a 833 yard season with five touchdowns, Beasley has dropped in production with just 287 yards this year with one less touchdown.
Despite the down year, Beasley could really help the offense this week. His big contributions come after the catch as he showed against New York with what he did to Landon Collins on a 54-yard catch and run last Sunday. Cowboy fans would like to see more of that and more of a return to form for Beasley.
The Cowboys right tackle has really been battling the injuries over recent weeks, having not participating in practice for either game since Thanksgiving. Collins finally was able to practice on Thursday.
Collins must now turn his focus to reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack after helping keep Dak Prescott on his feet during the Giants game. Collins got a taste of Mack during the preseason, this will be a key matchup for the Cowboys.
Lee finally got back on the field against the Giants after missing the previous three and a half games and he couldn’t have played a better game. The General registered 18 tackles and intercepted a pass for the first time since 2015.
Lee is still nursing the hamstring but his presence on the field creates a noticeable difference. Sean Lee will look to help create more havoc on Sunday Night.
