A couple of the Cowboys penalties in Sunday's game with the Vikings maybe shouldn't have been, but when you lead the league in penalties, you have to think that maybe the refs are watching and the calls aren't going to go your way... nor should they.

It's almost impossible to defend anymore (and you know I've tried), but when penalties and turnovers get you beat almost every week in the NFL — and then you continue to make those same dumb penalties and the same turnovers — it's not worth defending anymore.

You can be the strongest, the fastest guy on the field (and the Cowboys have a lot of those), but smart players win in the NFL.

And the Cowboys don't have nearly enough of those.
