Do you want to see TCU quarterback Casey Pachall on the field next season?

TCU's troubled former quarterback Casey Pachall is back with the team.

He left last semester after a drunk driving arrest.

Football-wise, it means more competition at the Horned Frogs quarterback spot.

For Pachall, it's a shot at redemption after letting down his family and his team.

TCU officials confirmed to WFAA Sports that Pachall was at the Frogs' first team meeting of the year on Sunday. Head coach Gary Patterson has reinstated him, and Pachall will begin off-season workouts with his teammates on Monday.

Pachall will compete with Trevone Boykin for the starting quarterback job in the 2013 campaign. Boykin played in 12 games in the 2012 season and had 15 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and rushed for 417 yards.

Pachall has re-enrolled at TCU and will begin the spring semester on Monday — like everyone else on campus.

Pachall was kicked off the team in October following the DWI arrest. He then entered an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.

The team ended the season with a 7-6 record in their first season in the Big 12 after going 11-2 in the 2011 campaign in the Mountain West conference.

At the time, Pachall's dad, Stan, called it a "wake-up call."

Now we'll see if Casey has the right answer.
