i thought it was Atlanta that was supposed to burn .... but the cowboys have been burning down for more than a decade now - and no reason to think it would change in Atlanta last night
the most surprising thing to me was not the loss - cowboys always find a way to lose - but that the esteemed owner would admit to Bob Costas in the pre-game show - that the general manager would and should have been fired years ago - if it wasn't him
now i am flattered that costas is using the question i've been asking for years - but i am impressed he was able to get an honest answer
but let's pause right here .... and reflect on that for just a moment
THE DALLAS COWBOYS HAVE A GENERAL MANAGER WHO THE OWNER THINKS SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED YEARS AGO .... ARE YOU %$#!!@*&$(*$@ KIDDING ME ???????
what kind of an idiot runs a business that way ?? other than the cowboys and cincinnati bengals of course
1 of the most iconic teams in any sport .... and decisions are being made by a man the owner thinks should have been fired becuz of his failures --- if it wasn't so truly sad and embarrassing and unbelievably frustrating - maybe i could find the humor in that
and now the team - and the organization - and certainly the head coach are treated to the nonsense of talk radio rambling on and on about the possibility of sean peyton leaving the saints and coaching the cowboys next year ---
anyone dumb enough to coach for jerry jones is too dumb to coach my team ---- LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN
ANYONE DUMB ENOUGH TO COACH FOR JERRY JONES IS TOO DUMB TO COACH MY TEAM !!!!!
it's just another example of what a lousy organization this is .... a head coach who needs and deserves respect from his players -- gets none -- becuz they know the head coach won't be around much longer
and since they have their money - pick one - why do they need to care or listen to a man who gets the blame for THEIR failures
quite a system you have created mr jones - it's quite a system
i get emails almost every day telling me i need to use the bully pulpit of tv to shame jones into stepping down as gm .... but i don't have that power ... i've tried ... it doesn't work
but you do - until or unless you stop buying tickets and supporting this joke of an organization by showing up on sunday ... nothing will change
if you do stop ... it will ... you have the power ... i wish you would use it
but i also know you won't ... and jones knows you won't either
enjoy your losing cowboys - and remember as the apologists do - 20 years ago they were really good
