Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant had permission to go out late Friday night and celebrate his upcoming 24th birthday, according to his advisor David Wells.

"He had a security detail with him, and several teammates were there, too," said Wells, who was reached via phone Saturday afternoon in Atlanta.

There is a thought out there that Bryant has a curfew.  That's not exactly the case.

The Cowboys have outlined a set of guidelines they'd like Bryant to follow, but a midnight curfew is not part of the deal.  If he is planning a night out, Bryant simply needs to let Wells or someone with the team know so that a security detail can be provided.

The guidelines were put in place in the wake of Bryant's July arrest on domestic violence charges against his mother.

Early Saturday morning, a DJ at a Dallas nightspot tweeted that Bryant was out, along with former Mavericks Delonte West and Josh Howard.

Several online outlets picked up the story, and questioned whether Bryant was breaking his so-called curfew.

Wells says Bryant arrived on time to Valley Ranch for the Cowboys' walk-through on Saturday morning.

The former first round pick in his third year is listed as questionable on the Dallas injury report, but sources tell News 8 his sore hip will not stop him from playing.

Bryant's birthday is Sunday, when Cowboy fans hope he can provide a few presents.
