Need a place to stay for the Super Bowl? We know some people.
I talked to three who are hoping to rent their homes out for the weekend of the game.
Chris Falco is one of those people. He lives in Colleyville and has been keeping track of things like ticket prices to see what kind of market there might be for renting his home.
He talks about the fact that once Pittsburgh and Green Bay qualified for the Super Bowl, ticket prices went down. Had the bigger market teams from Chicago and New York been in the game, there would have been more demand for tickets (and housing) simply because the pool to draw from would have been a lot larger.
We showed ticket prices from StubHub ranging from just over $2,000 to more than $8,000. I did a quick scan of craigslist.org and the cheapest I saw was $1,700.
That $200 plaza ticket doesn't look so bad, compared to those prices.
