Jones led UNT to 5 straight 20-win season from 2007 -2011, with that run including a pair of NCAA tournament appearances and Sun Belt conference titles. His overall record in Denton is 190-146 in 11 seasons.
As a freshman at LSU, Jones played on the Tigers 1981 Final Four team, and later served 12 seasons as an assistant under Dale Brown. He was on the coaching staff when the Tigers returned to the Final Four in 1986.
