I’m sitting here watching the rangers beat tampa bay -- and their ace david price - at least they are as I write this --- and it makes me wonder again … how anybody can complain about this rangers team
Now maybe I’m the only one who keeps getting emails from the “fringe” …. But I get a lot of ‘em complaining about the rangers -- and in particular manager Ron Washington -- and you should have known I was working my way there
If I had told you in Arizona at spring training … that the angels take your best pitcher - add arguably the game’s best hitter - michael young would have his worst year ever - your opening day starter and 5th starter would be done for the year real early - your super star outfielder would go 2 months looking like he had never played baseball --- you’re going to need a new catcher …. And oh by the way - the final week in august you will have the best record in the American league
Most of you would have thot I’m as stupid as you think I am …. And the rest of you would have just thot I must be trying to kiss up to the rangers - becuz I’m well known for being a home town cheerleader --- but I am cheering this team
And I’m saying it again …. If any manager in baseball -- any manager except washington of course … had done with this team what he’s done - we’d need to build another statue
