i'm gonna be writing something here every day ... at least until the cowboys lose a game ... but since they have the day off ... i'm gonna tell you a different story
texas quarterback colt mccoy proposes to his long time girl friend last night .... and does it on the football field in austin - has the proposal "will you marry me" in big lights on the video board ... and when she turns around mccoy's on 1 knee ... and probably will be for the rest of his life now
when i proposed to the lovely mrs hansen about 27 years ago ... it uhhhhhhh ... well mmmmm .. wasn't quite as romantic
i came home about a quarter to 5 in the morning .... a bunch of us had been partying the night away and telling stories that had some truth in 'em .... i walked in ... she was up getting ready for work - she worked on the production crew at channel 4 at the time ... threw the ring at her and said here you go then went straight to bed
the last thing i heard ... chris yelling "i don't want to remember it this way"
trust me - she does ... every single wedding we go to she has to tell the story of HER engagement ... but at least now you know why that incredible woman has stayed with me for 26 years going on 27 in june
and now with colt mccoy pulling this little romantic stunt ... i'm pretty sure i'll hear about it again
