Big congratulations to Granbury girls coach Leta Andrews, who set the national record for victories by a high school basketball coach Tuesday night, in a 62-43 win over Midlothian. It was the 1,334th career victory for Andrews, who has been coaching for 48 years.

We were there for number 1,182 in January of 2004. We did a long feature story on Coach Andrews, and we rode the bus to Brownwood with her and her team, and her husband of 51 years, who did - and still does - drive the team bus.

We are going out to Granbury to talk with Coach Andrews and will have that story on WFAA-TV and wfaa.com very soon.
