MIAMI — Mavericks star forward Dirk Nowitzki showed up in the post-game news conference room with a splint on the middle finger of his left hand Tuesday night.
Nowitzki said he tore a tendon in the finger, but added it will not stop him from playing in Game 2 Thursday night.
Nowitzki scored a game-high 27 points — including 10 in the fourth quarter. He said he hurt the finger while trying to knock a pass away from Heat forward Chris Bosh in the fourth quarter.
