Another Dallas Mavericks favorite is leaving. J.J. Barea is headed to the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to the espn.com.
The energetic free agent guard and a key to the Mavericks championship has reached an agreement in principle with the Timberwolves.
Barea joins Tyson Chandler and Caron Butler as prime free agents to leave the Mavs.
Barea said Dallas refused to offer deals that went beyond one year. That is in order to save maximum salary-cap space for next summer.
Last week, he said "I wasn't expecting it to be like this after everything we did."
