DALLAS — A crate of stone crabs, hand-rolled cigars, and Cuban pastries are headed to Dallas City Hall this week.
Mayor Dwaine Caraway said that's what his counterpart in Miami promised if the Mavs won the championship.
The Chairman of Miami-Dade County also agreed to wear a Mavs jersey one day, Caraway said.
"He's going to wear a jersey — a Dallas Mavericks jersey — that I'm going to sign," Caraway said. "And he is going to have to do community service in Miami Dade County."
Caraway said his staff will purchase a jersey in the next day or so to send to South Florida.
Bishop Kevin Farrell of the Diocese of Dallas plans to collect on a friendly wager with his Miami counterpart as well.
Bishop Farrell said Archbishop Thomas Wenski from Miami is sending a crate of stone crabs, a Key Lime pie and a box of hand-rolled cigars by Friday.
