Former Spurs guard Devin Brown arrested on DWI charge in S.A.

SAN ANTONIO -- Former Spurs player and San Antonio native Devin Brown was arrested on suspicion of DWI on Tuesday.

According to a report from the Bexar County constable's office, Devin Brown was pulled over in the 10800 block of Nacogdoches Road around 10:40 p.m.

A deputy constable from precinct three observed the 34-year-old was slurring his speech and was swaying after he was asked to step out of his Cadillac SUV.

Brown was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. He has since posted bail.

The 6-foot-5-inch shooting guard played for the Spurs from 2003 to 2005 and was a part of the 2005 championship team.

Brown then went on to play for the Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers and a team in Poland.

He played high school basketball at South San Antonio West.
