ARLINGTON - Rangers General Manager Jon Daniels and his wife, Robyn, are anticipating a big week - and not just because of the Rangers World Series run.
They are expecting their third child in November, but the baby could be born at any time, whether the Rangers are playing or not.
"That's what my mom said a couple of times, the game is too stressful, we need a blowout so it doesn't send Robyn into labor," Daniels said. "I haven't thought it through, I just kind of react - instinct at that point, right? Get up and find your way to a hospital."
So he would actually leave the game to take his wife to the hospital?
"Well, I know for a fact that this is our last child," Daniels said. "And I'm hoping this is not our last time in the World Series, so you've got to have your priorities in order."
The medical staff at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington has been alerted, just in case.
