Here’s something that drives me absolutely nuts …. Baseball statistics and the baseball junkies who repeat ‘em like they mean something - it all started in Baltimore with Josh Hamilton’s 4 home runs …. Now it’s a big deal that he’s only the 16th guy to ever do that … but noooooooooooooooo …. No one leaves it there
Now I don’t know the exact stats and I don’t want to … but we keep hearing he’s like the 4th guy to hit 6 in a week … 18 in the 1st 32 games … 2nd guy to have 18 home runs and 40 rbi’s in 33 games …. On and on and it goes … AND NONE OF IT MATTERS
Here’s one …. Nellie Cruz is the 1st guy in major league history to hit a grand slam and then another home run the next night off 2 different pitchers in 2 different weeks of a tie game where his team lost 1 of the 2 …..
Well I think he is anyway …. But I don’t care … baseball stats are for baseball junkies … heavy emphasis on JUNKIES
It’s like the social media that isn’t very social … people who tweet are twits to me - not you of course … but everybody else … like say … anyone named Kardashian ….. but I write this blog because it’s the only place I can vent anymore
3 minutes at 6 and 10 doesn’t give me enough time - whoops …. Gotta go … it’s almost time for my 3 minutes
