For many players, there is more to great offense and defense — there's a little something called superstition. So what's working for the Rangers?
"I've been doing a few things before the last two games so for sure," said shortstop Elvis Andrus. But when asked to share his ritual, he said: "I can't; you have keep it to yourself."
Second baseman Ian Kinsler also has a set routine. "To to the [batting] cage the same time.... get ready for the game at the same time... you know, stuff like that."
But designated hitter Michael Young is a little more laid-back about it all. "I'm low-maintenance," he said. "I worry about what's between the lines."
