ARLINGTON — The Texas Rangers were finalizing travel plans and getting back to work on Sunday, now that they know their opponent in the World Series.
San Francisco won the National League pennant on Saturday night, and on Sunday the Rangers worked out at the ballpark getting ready for the Giants.
Pitchers warmed up on the mound; others took some batting practice.
The Rangers will play in San Francisco Wednesday and Thursday. Then they will host the first World Series games ever in Texas on Saturday and Sunday.
If needed, Game 5 would also be in Arlington, one week from Monday.
Games 6 and 7 would take place in San Francisco if the World Series extends that far.
