FORT WORTH — The Denton County firefighter who tumbled about 30 feet from the second deck of Rangers Ballpark in Arlington says he's thankful to be alive.
Tyler Morris fell into the field level seats Tuesday night while trying to catch a foul ball as the Texas Rangers hosted the Cleveland Indians. The firefighter with the Lake Cities Fire Department said he is in some pain after suffering a fractured skull and sprained ankle in the fall.
Morris, who was on his way home from the hospital Thursday afternoon, says it was an accident that could have happened to anyone. Morris says he may be off work for up to six weeks but is ready to attend another Rangers game.
