The Texas Rangers will announce a "naming rights partner" for Rangers Ballpark in Arlington on Wednesday.
The team said it would have no other comment until an 11 a.m. news conference.
The stadium opened in 1994 as The Ballpark in Arlington. It was dubbed Ameriquest Field in Arlington in 2004 in what was announced as a 30-year sponsorship deal. But in 2007 the mortgage company and the Rangers terminated the agreement and the stadium reverted to its current name.
Many -- but not all -- Major League teams have sold the naming rights to their stadiums for additional revenue.
