D/FW AIRPORT — It's now 39 years and counting.

The Texas Rangers are still searching for their first-ever World Series title after losing Game 7 to the Cardinals in St. Louis on Friday night.

The American League champions returned home around 2 a.m. Saturday, and fans were waiting for them at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to show their support for the Rangers... and to let them know that North Texans are proud of their second consecutive visit to the World Series.

The Rangers moved to Arlington in 1972 after ther franchise ended a 10-year run as the Washington Senators.

The team appeared in the World Series for the first time last year, losing to the San Francisco Giants four games to one.
