Some students at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Austin have learned to lean on athletics, showing that visual impairment and sports can go hand in hand. They compete in wrestling, track, swimming and goalball, an internationally-played sport for visually impaired athletes. Their coaches are also visually impaired and understand what their students are going through.
