AUGUSTA, Ga. -- With a confident and relaxed demeanor, world No. 1 golfer Tiger Woods met with the press at Augusta Tuesday.

"Life is all about having a balance and trying to find the equilibrium and not getting things one way or the other," Woods said, "and I feel very balanced."

Woods has gone through personal and professional turmoil, and appears to be coming out the other side.

Golf-wise, he's regained the top world ranking and it was obvious by the way he engaged the press on this day - open, gregarious, and long-winded - he's confident in what he and his swing coach, Sean Foley, have been working on. Now he's ready to show it on Augusta's finely-manicured fairways and greens.

Woods said he doesn't feel any more pressure to win majors now that he's 37.

"No, its still the same," he said. "They're the best events to play in, toughest conditions, best fields, and the most demanding and challenging. That's what you want. That's the fun part."

Woods has won four times at Augusta, but none since 2005. He was 14 career majors and needs four more to match Jack Nicklaus' record of major championships.

The clock is ticking, but again, Woods sounds confident.

"It took Jack awhile to get to 18 -- all the way until his was 46 years old," he said. "There's plenty opportunities for me."

The next one starts this Thursday.
