The WFAA Bloggers' NFL mock draft
19. Chicago Bears - OT Cordy Glenn (Georgia)
The Bears are trying their best to become a pass-oriented team. Acquiring Jay Cutler was the first step. Adding Mike Martz was supposed to be the third. Keeping him alive is the third -- and that one has been slow to go through (don't question the priorities). The Bears should realize by now they've waited far too long to protect an asset they clearly value (based on what they gave up to acquire him from Denver). Drafting Cordy Glenn goes a long way toward righting that wrong.
Glenn is a gifted and very well-rounded tackle who will start on the right side and eventually challenge for the big money job as Cutler's blindside protector. He's a good pass-defender and an excellent run blocker. Glenn is said to struggle against elite speed rushers, but his great wingspan and solid athleticism should help him in that regard as NFL coaching works its magic. -- OR MOYAL
