ARLINGTON, TX - On the surface, it appears success breeds success. The Rangers are getting closer and closer to winning the American League West, but they’re not the only part of the organization having success this year.

Texas affiliates are within reach of a club-record six playoff appearances. In 2003 and 2008, the club sent five affiliates to the playoffs.

The Arizona League Rangers and Dominican Summer League Rangers were in the playoffs and have already completed their post season runs and are now out of the playoffs.

Both Frisco and Spokane clinched playoff berths with first half titles in their divisions. Frisco opens their playoffs on September 8th. Spokane opens a best of three series on Monday at Yakima.

Hickory clinched a wild card spot in the South Atlantic League while Oklahoma City currently holds a 3.5-game advantage in the Pacific Coast League American South. Redhawks lead the American South by 3.5 games over Albuquerque and the club's magic number currently stands at 3. The PCL playoffs begin September 8.

The only Rangers affiliate that didn't make the playoffs was Bakersfield in the California League.
