Should Josh Brent have been on the sidelines for Sunday's game?

One thing bothered a great number of you, and while I'm not as outraged as some of you say you are, I think I'm with you on this one.

Josh Brent was on the Cowboys sideline. The man facing charges of intoxication manslaughter for the accident that killed his friend and teammate Jerry Brown.

Now I said the other day (and I'm not backing up for a moment) that I don't turn my back on friends who make terrible mistakes and do incredibly stupid things.

But then I don't bring 'em on the air with me here, either.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says Brent was on the sideline because the team wanted him there, supporting Josh Brent, being there to help any way you can.

Absolutely. You might disagree with that, but I don't.

But being on the sideline at a Cowboys game? As a constant reminder to everyone in the stadium what he and others are dealing with? I don't think it's the time or the place, and as strange as this almost sounds... it just didn't look right.
