Let Me Speak to the Manager

Q: The news people usually have beautiful views behind them... is that a real window?

11:51 AM CST on Wednesday, February 15, 2006

Q: In the morning (Daybreak, I guess) the news people usually have beautiful views of downtown Dallas behind them. Is that a real window somewhere, or those backgrounds projections from another camera?

A: Thanks for watching so carefully, Wanda. What you are seeing in the screens behind the desk on the set in Studio A comes from cameras mounted on rooftops and towers stationed around the D-FW area. These "tower cams" are fed live into the rear screen projectors and serve as backgrounds during Daybreak, and other news programs.
