PROSPER - A driver and four children were rushed to area hospitals after a multi-vehicle accident at Preston Road and Highway 289 in Prosper.

A blue car carrying the driver and four children was rear-ended by a white minivan while it was stopped at Highway 289 to take a left onto another road, said an officer at the scene. The momentum of the crash pushed the blue car onto a lane of oncoming traffic, which was when it was hit head-on by a truck, the officer said.

The driver of the blue car and four children were rushed to nearby hospitals. Their conditions are unknown.
