ANNA — Anna police are asking for the public’s help in identifying an armed robber who held up Love’s Travel Mart at 714 U.S. Hwy. 75 just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

The suspect is a white male in his 20s, five foot six to eight inches tall, 170 to 190 pounds, with short brown hair and a mustache.

The robber came into the store wearing a green stocking cap and a white T-shirt with “Wonder Bread" on the front and black or dark blue trim on the collar and sleeves.

He wore blue jean shorts with white over-the-calf socks and dark athletic shoes.

The man lingered in the store for several minutes before putting on a pair of white-framed sunglasses and approaching the clerk.

He laid a black jacket on the counter in front of the employee, revealing what appeared to be the barrel of a rifle or shotgun pointed at her, and demanded cash.

After the clerk gave him money from the register, the robber apologized and was last seen walking out of the store.

Anna is a Collin County community about 12 miles north of McKinney.
