NAVARRO COUNTY — Search teams in Navarro County located the body of a second drowning victim Wednesday morning.

Jerry King of Athens and his teenaged grandson Jerrod Rachel went fishing on Richland Chambers Lake 10 days ago and never made it to shore.

Their pontoon boat was spotted adrift on the lake; the lifejackets still wrapped in plastic.

Jerrod's body found at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday by Texas game wardens and officers from the Tarrant Regional Water district. The Cross Roads High School Student was 17.

King's body was recovered by Department of Public Safety divers last Friday.

The search continues for two missing individuals at Lake Lavon near Dallas.

Michael Simmons, 18, of Freeville, N.Y., disappeared when his paddle boat capsized Tuesday. Trevor Dennis Rotoli, 26, of Grapevine, has been missing since Saturday.

Game Warden Capt. Gary Dugan said in a statement that approximately 90 percent of boating fatality victims in Texas do not have life jackets on when their bodies are recovered.

Sixty-one people died in Texas boating accidents last year.
